After years of being stored incorrectly, photos have a tendency to degrade. They can fade, crack, stain or grow mildew. These issues tend to detract from the subjects of the pictures and if left uncorrected, they will grow and the photos could end up unrecognizable.

Bring us in your photos and no matter what the problem is, we will scan it into our editing station and use a variety of techniques to restore and repair your pictures to their former glory.

Prices

Every photo is different in terms of the amount of work needed to restore the photo. Rather than try and quote a fixed price for all photo restorations, we charge an hourly rate of $30/hour and make sure your photo gets the attention it needs. Some photos can be fixed in 10 minutes, some highly damaged and detailed photos can take a couple hours of work.

FAQ

Can you fix issue XYZ?: Probably. We don't that guarantee every single issue in a photo can be fixed. At least not in a reasonable amount of time. Bring us in your photo and we will take a look at it and let you know what we think. And with our satisfaction guarantee, if you're not satisfied with the results you can just take your original back and there is not charge for our time.
How is my order returned to me?: Your original photo is returned to you along with a CD of the edited photo in tiff and jpg formats. If you want, we can also make a print of your restored photo and add it to your order (extra charges apply).
Can I get the photoshop (PSD) file given to me as well?: Sure! For no extra charge, just let us know before we start your order that you would like the the PSD file along with the tiff and jpg files and we will be happy to include it on the CD.
Can I see the photo before you put it onto CD?: Of course! Just let us know that you want a preview of the final photo before we complete your order and we will either email you a (lower resolution) copy for you to preview, or you can come into our office and view the results.

We start with a very high resolution scan of your photo which gives us the most available information to work with in restoring the photo. We then use a variety of photoshop techniques to correct scratches, stains, cracks, mildew, etc. We work using photoshop layers which allows for a minimum of destructive editing and we only save your photos to the lossy jpeg format final output.

How we do it

When we receive your order, it is carefully catalogued in our system.
We then scan your photo using at a very high resolution and begin to use a variety of photoshop editing techniques to repair all damage to your photos. Once we are satisfied with the final results, we save your photo into tiff and jpeg formats and store them on a high quality CD.
